Session Two: “About Your Community”
Assignment: Think about the community your currently live in and try to decide what aspects, places, and people in the community are most important. Take eight photographs of the parts of the community you find to be most important.
1) A House
“Everyone should have a house. If we don’t have a house, we have no where to stay. So, it is important it find a house and live together.”
2) Where People go to Die
“This is a picture of a monastery. And the most important thing about this part of community is that when people die they come here.”
3) Living Together
“This is a picture I took from the top of a hill near the monastery. I looked from there and though this was so beautiful. It is a picture of all of the people living together.”
4) I Like School
“This is the school. I like school.”
5) Red and Green
“This is a picture of the monastery. I like this picture especially because of the red and green colors that look so beautiful.”
6) Coconuts
“These are some coconuts. I like them because the juice is good to drink and the shell is useful for people living here.”
7) Dark Blue Sky
“This is a picture of a dark blue sky. It is the most beautiful picture in my heart.”
8) Rubber Plantation
“I like this picture because it is meaningful about working in the community, such as this rubber plantation.”
9) Natural Things
“This is a picture of natural things in our community. I like how natural the plants and trees are here.
10) The Pagoda on the Mountain
“This is a picture of the pagoda, which is built on top of the mountain so people can go there to worship. There are stairs to go up to it.”
